The use of essential oil treatments in combination with scalp massage is an effective, all-natural method of promoting hair growth. It works by stimulating blood flow to the scalp and nourishing hair at its roots. This is a quick and easy to make scalp oil recipe that nourishes and stimulates hair follicles and increases blood flow for maximum healthy hair growth.
You need cedarwood essential oil, peppermint essential oil, expeller pressed virgin coconut oil, and Jojoba oil.
Cedarwood Essential Oil
Cedarwood oil soothes and conditions the scalp while stimulating hair follicles. It also promotes blood circulation in the scalp for hair growth.
Peppermint Essential Oil
Peppermint helps to stimulate blood flow to the root of your hair and helps provide nourishment to support growth. Peppermint oil helps in growth of dry hair, which is prone to splitting and breakage. It is especially good for your hair if it grows very slowly or if it is thinning in spots. Most women experience thinning at the crown of the head.
Ayurvedic medicine recommends coconut oil for treating hair conditions due to its gentle, nourishing properties. Coconut (which is a fruit, rather than an actual nut) contains lauric acid, and coconut oil is loaded with this active ingredient, which kills germs/bacteria and boosts the health of the scalp. Sometimes, infections or bacteria in the scalp region are the cause of hair loss, hair thinning, and brittle snapping hair.
Jojoba oil moisturizes the dry hair of African Americans, while providing nutrients and stimulation to the scalp. The healing qualities of Jojoba oil are beneficial for extremely damaged or breaking hair. This truly is one of the best essential oils for hair loss due to breakage, so you can see more hair growth.
Combine four drops of cedarwood oil, four drops of peppermint oil, and 1/2 tsp of Jojoba oil with five Tablespoons of coconut oil. Mix thoroughly.
Thoroughly massage the oil treatment into the scalp and hair and let sit for at least an hour before washing your hair. To use it as a leave-in, put it on the scalp only, then massage your scalp for 5-8 minutes. Use the treatment 2-3 times a week for maximum hair growth.
