What:

Mango Lassi Cowash Conditioner Bar

Why: cream and coco mango lassi cowash bar review

I wanted an alternative to shampoo that would leave my hair manageable, moisturized, and soft post-wash. I also wanted a product without a lot of chemicals, or no chemicals at all.

Where:

I was given the Mango Lassi Co-wash Conditioner Bar as a gift, but it can be purchased from Cream and Coco (www.creamandcoco.com) for $8.50 (4 ounce bar) + shipping.

Ingredients:

Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetyl Alcohol (and) Butylene Glycol, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Stearalkonium Chloride, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Glycerin, perfume, mango butter, coconut milk, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus (Lemongrass), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Leaf Powder, Althea Offinalis (Marshmallow) Root, cardamin

How to Use Mango Lassi Co-Wash Bar:

The first time I used the co-wash bar, I wet my hair really well, then glided the bar through my hair per the directions. I didn’t get the cream from the conditioner emulsifying the water like the directions stated. I may have needed to rub the co-wash bar in my hands a few times first to soften it, or wet my hair more since it was my first time using it.

However, the second time I used the bar, it worked like a charm. I made sure my hair was drenched. The conditioner became creamy and I worked it through my hair and scalp. After rinsing I noticed my hair was extremely soft, and felt like I already had put a leave-in conditioner in it. I also used the bar on my skin – gliding it up and down my skin (or whatever direction was needed). It was remarkable how soft and silky my skin felt – great smelling too! I applied lotion to my skin after my shower, but I wonder if I really needed it; the co-wash bar was that great.

Pros:

Silky soft hair and skin – extremely moisturizing. No petroleum, mineral oil, or phthalates in the product. Made of natural ingredients. Eye friendly.

Cons:

Hard to decipher how much of product I needed to use because I have a lot of hair. If indeed a little goes a long way, even for people with a lot of hair, paying $8.50 + shipping is an excellent investment.

Bottom Line:

While I used the Mango Lassi Co-wash Conditioner Bar, I believe all of Cream and Coco’s Co-wash Bars will do the trick in keeping your hair and skin in perfect, moisturized condition. These bars are superior to any shampoo, soap, or body wash you will find in stores. They are must-have products if the health of your hair and skin is a top priority.
